Take part in a historic walking tour\, art shows\, a history-in-the-making photo contest\, historic displays and activities\, spring crafts\, after-hours shopping\, dining\, games\, prizes\, and more! Oh the fun! \n  \n\nCapture Camas history! Share your modern photos and help others see your town in a whole new light! We are excited to share the 4th Annual black and white photography contest for April’s “Spring into History” First Friday! The “Capture Camas History Contest” is seeking black and white photography submissions of all things Downtown Camas! Think architecture\, art\, friends\, family\, food\, fun\, and more! History happens now\, and we want to see your moments of history in the making! \nSelected images will contribute to a special “Capture Camas History” album\, planned for release in 2033. You’ll get to look back at a decade of history! \n\n\nSubmit your pictures by emailing high resolution JPEG images along with your name\, age\, and connection to Camas to promotions@downtowncamas.com. All submissions will be subject to future promotional use by the Downtown Camas Association. Feel free to email with any questions. Submissions will be accepted through 3/31/26.We encourage you to share your images on social media with the hashtag #capturecamashistory! One winner will be chosen by the people at April First Friday\, and will receive a special prize from the Downtown Camas Association. \nThe winning image from 2025 was submitted by Jyl Straub at Wild Hair. \n \n\n  \n\nOther Fun First Friday Activities! \n\nCelebrate a new Downtown Camas business with a special 5pm Ribbon Cutting for Camas Indoor Golf Club\, 222 NE Everett Street\, Suite 102.\nJoin a Historic Walking Tour of Downtown with Brad Richardson\, Executive Director of the Clark County Historical Museum. Meet at 5:50pm in front of Fuel. This tour is rain or shine.\nHave fun with the “Guess Camas History” trivia passport activity throughout town!\nDo the “Egg-stra Fun at First Friday” Sticker Egg Hunt and enter to win a fun spring prize basket!\nPick your favorite decade and bring it to life! Dress the part and enter our “Dress Your Decade” activity for a chance to win a special prize!\nTwo Rivers Heritage Museum history displays in the Fuel Lobby with museum experts on hand to answer questions and share history stories! The GP Mill Cleanup Community Advisory Group will also be on hand to share mill history and info about the cleanup.\nMake paper in the GP Mill Interpretive Lobby\, 401 NE Adams\, and learn about mill history including the pictorial mill timeline.\nCommunity members are invited to join Georgia-Pacific for a “cake-cutting” groundbreaking celebrating the new $12 million converting equipment investment on First Friday\, April 3\, at 4:30 p.m. in the Mill Lobby.\nPeruse the Camas history displays inside Fuel and learn why Camas is such an exceptional town.\nVote for your favorite photo in the Capture Camas History Photo Contest\nArt receptions with refreshments at Attic Gallery\, 419 NE Cedar\, Gallery 408\, 408 NE 4th Ave\,  RedDoor Gallery\, 411 NE Dallas St\,  Second Story Gallery\, 625 NE 4th Ave.\nSpring Kids Crafts and Activities inside Fuel Medical\, 314 NE Birch St\, and throughout downtown\nAfter-hours shopping and dining with so many new offerings for Spring.\n\nStart your evening by picking up the First Friday Passport at the DCA Table in the Fuel Medical Lobby (314 NE Birch St.) Come celebrate our amazing Camas history\, community culture and spring in Downtown Camas! \n \n  \n  \n \n
