DESCRIPTION:The theme for this First Friday will be Unicorns\, Rainbows & Mythical Beasts! Join us Friday\, June 5th for the First Friday Fun finding the unicorns\, rainbows and mythical beasts all throughout town! \nJoin us for a 5pm Ribbon Cutting for the Mini Art Gallery at Gallery 408. This unique project began with miniature artist Lara Blair\, who suggested idea for a tiny traveling gallery. Inspired by her vision\, Gallery 408 and Lara Blair embraced the concept and brought it to life as a playful and engaging extension of Gallery 408. \nThe Mini Art Gallery is available for viewing inside the gallery and will occasionally travel to community events\, pop-ups\, and special exhibitions throughout the region. \n \n  \nPassport activity: The “Unicorns\, Rainbows & Mythical Beasts Sticker Scavenger Hunt”\, First Friday 5-8pm. Find “Otis the Ogre” in participating merchants and choose the sticker that goes with the “mythical beast clue” he gives you. Add the sticker to the passport. The more stickers you collect\, the more chances you have to win! \nPassports and sticker sheets can be picked up at the DCA table at Fuel Medical Group (314 NE Birch St.) \nOther First Friday activities include: \n\nMythical Match Game\, match all the Mythical Beast Cards in 1 minute and get a ticket to win!\nHatch a mermaid egg and make a fairy stick with the Girl Scouts \nMythical Beast\, Rainbow & Unicorn inspired games\, crafts and prizes\nFree Cotton Candy from Grace Church\nArt receptions with refreshments with wine\, chocolate and live music:  Attic Gallery 419 NE Cedar;  Gallery 408 \, 408 NE 4th ; RedDoor Gallery 411 NE Dallas; and the Second Story Gallery\, 625 NE 4th\nSpecial popup from Anxious Toast inside the Fuel Medical Lobby \nDress in unicorn\, rainbow or mythical beast attire and be entered to win a special prize!\nAfter hours shopping\, dining\, live music & fun throughout town!\n\nCome with a group or take on the adventure by yourself – it will be so much fun!

All in celebration of our country’s big birthday and the community connections that make our town so wonderful! \nThe Camas Culture Art Block on 5th Avenue in Downtown Camas celebrates the wide variety of cultures that call Camas home. To kick off the July First Friday celebration\, the DCA will unveil new artwork by student artists with the theme: What’s YOUR American Story? We can’t wait to see and celebrate the amazing art from our town’s students! Ribbon Cutting and unveiling will be at 5pm. \nPick up a passport at the DCA tables in the Fuel Medical lobby (314 NE Birch) to start the night. \nMake your community a better place by participating in on of our service projects\, happening throughout the event! \n\nMake wildflower seed bombs and cards of kindness for seniors with the Girl Scouts\nBring a piece of clothing in need of repair and learn some new sewing skills at the\nMending Circle at Fuel Medical\, 314 NE Birch Street\, hosted by DCA Volunteers. DESCRIPTION:First Friday\, December 4th\, 5-8pm \nHosted and organized by City of Camas Parks & Rec and promoted and sponsored by the Downtown Camas Association! What a spectacular holiday evening it will be! \nThis event will include photos with Santa\, crafts & activities\, entertainment\, free hot cocoa sponsored by Journey Church\, holiday shopping\, art shows\, and more! The tree will be lit at 5pm for the evening festivities and snow will fall! \nThe DCA participates in this event by being a sponsor of the “snow” and making sure it flies! The DCA also brings friendly elves to town that hand out festive goodies to the kiddos from their Holiday Swag Wagon\, and the DCA promotes the event and all the amazing local shopping for the holidays! We also help coordinate the safety pedestrian corridors during the tree lighting. \n\n\nResidents and visitors alike will once again enjoy a bustling downtown Camas with school and community choirs\, bands and dancers\, photos with Santa (bring your camera!)\, crafts for the kids\, street food vendors\, and downtown restaurants and shops open for business.  The event is coordinated and hosted by Camas Parks & Recreation and coincides with Downtown Camas Association’s First Friday. \nIT’S SO MUCH FUN!!!
