DESCRIPTION:First Friday is coming September 4th and the theme is “Celebrate Art!” We are going to celebrate everything ART because we love art so! This event is a combination of art installments\, art shows\, art demos\, kids art and after-hours shopping\, dining and other family friendly artful activities. \nIt’s an evening of Art for All in Downtown Camas! \n\nHands-on Art experiences including quilling\, basket weaving\, pottery\, fabric weaving and more for all ages inside the Fuel Lobby with DCA volunteers and throughout downtown\nWatch artist demonstrations (see special note below!)\n“Choose Your Favorite Local Art” passport activity at participating merchants throughout downtown with chances to win donated prize baskets.\nSelf-guided mural tour of the beautiful public artworks in our downtown.\nArt Shows and Receptions in Attic Gallery\, 419 NE Cedar; Gallery 408\, 408 NE 4th;\, Second Story Gallery\, 625 NE 4th Ave (upstairs at the Camas Library); and RedDoor Gallery\, 411 NE Dallas.\nLive Outdoor Music and special performances by local Youth musicians\nShop\, dine\, & have artful fun in Downtown Camas\n\nStart your evening by picking up a First Friday Passport & Activity list at the DCA tables in Fuel Medical Group Lobby 314 NE Birch St. \nA SPECIAL NOTE! This year we won’t have a specific plein air painting competition at First Friday because now there is an official Plein Air Event in downtown! On September 27th\, the Camas Plein Air Event will be hosted downtown by RedDoor Gallery and it will bring many incredible artists to paint our town! Artists will paint from 8am-3pm and then an artist reception and award ceremony will be at RedDoor from 4-6pm. All are welcome! $2800 in artist cash prizes. It will be amazing to see what these artists create! The art will be on display and for sale in RedDoor Gallery through October 25. \nFor all the info and registration form\, visit HERE! DESCRIPTION:Camas Car Show – Rescheduled to: September 12th\, 2026\n2pm-7pm\nin Beautiful Downtown Camas \n \n  \nAfter keeping a close eye on the forecast\, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the 2026 Camas Car Show and reschedule it for Saturday\, September 12. \nIn 19 years\, this is only the second time we’ve had to issue a rain delay. While a little rain might not stop some events\, classic car owners are understandably particular about their vehicles. We don’t blame them one bit! If the cars stay home\, there isn’t much of a car show\, so we’d rather wait for a better day and give these beautiful vehicles and the thousands of visitors the event they deserve! \nCome stroll the beautiful streets of historic Downtown Camas and enjoy the many classic and custom cars and trucks that fill the town. Old favorites and new discoveries in this 19th annual event. Always an exceptionally fun time! \nFor Exhibitors\n\n$20 entry fee\, open event\, no pre-registration necessary.\nIf you’d like to print out the registration form and bring it with you to the event\, CLICK HERE for a printable form.\nALL SHOW CARS ENTER AT 5th and ADAMS. There will be limited staging areas for cars that arrive earlier than noon.  Arriving after 10AM is best!  Staging will be guided by parking attendants. Cars may start entering car show area at 12:00 noon. This time may flex a bit depending on volume of cars.\nCARS STAGED FIRST WILL ENTER CAR SHOW AREA FIRST. If you’re there before 12pm noon\, you’ll be directed to the limited staging areas. After 12pm\, cars still enter at 5th and Adams and parking attendants will lead you to the car show entrance. You must remain parked until the event ends at 7:00pm.\nIF YOU WANT TO PARK TOGETHER\, COME EARLY AND COME TOGETHER!\nAwards will include Best in Show\, People’s Choice\, Owner’s Choice and a variety of Sponsors’ Picks (see list below). Best in Show car will be featured on next year’s Camas Car Show poster and promotions!
