DCA Board Members

Marilyn Boerke

I’ve lived in Camas for 35 years, and have tremendous appreciation for the “small town” feel we are able to maintain even though our citizenship has grown markedly during that time. I was elected to the Camas City Council and joined the team on January 1, 2022. Through my roles with the Camas School District, and our City, I bring the perspective of the parents, students and Council Members to the DCA, helping to ensure our programming addresses both the needs and desires of our community.

Leah Nichelson

Events and Project Manager,
Leah Nichelson
Event and Project Manager,
I’m a lifetime Camas/Washougal resident who started my career in Downtown Camas in 2020 as a staff member at the Camas Farmer’s Market. Prior to that, I worked as a chef, and my passion for equity and food access for all led me to look for work with nonprofits. I was invited to join the DCA staff in 2022 after contracting with them to manage vendors at the Camas Plant and Garden Fair. I love the work, the friendship, the community, and the costumes! I’m grateful for my role with the DCA, and I look forward to working with the board and staff to continue the growth and development they’ve worked so hard to establish.
