Did you know the Camas Public Library will host a Scary Story Contest? They will and it’s back! Three winners of the contest will receive a prize and be asked to read their story at their Saturday Spooktacular on Saturday, October 29.

Here are the Rules:

*Open to kids in grades 3 to 12

*Stories must be 500 words or less

*Stories must use one of these prompts as inspiration:

  1. A monster is terrified by the scary child who lives above his bed.
  2. A family of vampires moves into your neighborhood, and you begin to see bats outside your bedroom window at night.

*Due date: Saturday, October 15 at 5 p.m. Bring a printed version of your story to the front desk, or send your story here: CamasPL.org/scarystory22
