Did You Know that the Camas mill (Crown Zellerbach at the time) used to have a downtown Paper Festival? It included fun and games for the community and a parade. The picture above shows one of the floats. Its sign said “Camas Paper Wraps the World”.
The Camas Washougal Chamber of Commerce started the Camas Days Celebration in 1974 and includes the annual parade, this year with the theme “Celebrating Papermaker History”. The 44th annual Camas Days will be June 27 and June 28th along with the new DCA event Picnic in Color (fun family art focused event) on July 29th- see you downtown!
