Gnomes, fairies, backyard adventure & fun will be the theme! Art shows, after-hours shopping, games, prizes, crafts, live music and more will all be a part of the First Friday, May 3rd event in Downtown Camas in May. Come dressed as a gnome, fairy or your favorite backyard creature! All are welcome!
Activities happening during First Friday:
— See what the gnomes, fairies and backyard creatures are up to in the “Gnome & Fairy Backyard Adventure!” in participating businesses and be entered to win!
— Get your picture taken with Mr. & Mrs. Gnome!
— Roast s’mores, hosted and sponsored by iQ Credit Union!
— Art gallery soft opening reception with refreshments at RedDoor Gallery, 411 NE Dallas.
—Meet cartoon artist Aron Nels Steinke of the award-winning Mr. Wolf’s Class graphic novel series—He’s a Camas native! at Second Story Gallery (upstairs library)
—At Periwinkle’s Toy Shoppe, enjoy a story time reading of Alice the Fairy by David Shannon read by Fairy Twins that will be there dressed for the occasion. Two readings: 5:30 and 6:30pm. 326 NE Cedar
—Play “Gnome-in-One” a special putt putt golf course at Sweet Intention Gift Boutique, 218 NE 4th
—Free Fairy Clouds (cotton candy) from Grace Church
—Do the “mushroom hunt”! Find the mushrooms around town and get entered to win a fun prize basket!
— Play Gnome and Backyard Creature themed games for a chance to win prizes!!
— Fairy Slime & Fairy Wands at LiveWell Camas (417 NE Birch St.)! The crafts will be organized by Scout Troop #45703.
—After hours shopping, dining & live music throughout town, including outdoor dining and live music at Mesa, 228 NE 4th to kick off Cinco de Mayo weekend.
