Local artist, Liz Pike, is a self-taught artist who works in oil on canvas can frequently be found in her art studio at Shangri-La Farm in Fern Prairie.
When asked why she paints sunflowers facing downward, she answered, “Sunflowers refuse to go down without a magnificent fight. And this is what I seek to portray in my work; that there is grace and beauty in the aging process of all things living.”
Pike is inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the lush gardens at her organic farm.
