Congratulations to Searcy, AR, the winning small town in The Small Business Revolution for 2019! Camas certainly had a good run at it and we’re so proud of our town!
Of course we would have loved to win, but now are right back on the positive trajectory we were on before–just a little further along a little faster :). We are more informed, more closely connected and have been more united as a town than ever before. Plus so many more people know about our sweet town and how wonderful our people are! Every single person who has been involved in this wonderful journey should feel proud and excited about what all of this means for Camas. Our town worked hard and did everything with heart.
We have plans for our town to strengthen, preserve and showcase our small businesses, to build upon our current town initiatives and continue to create a community where we love and support each other, where our kids feel valued and included, and where we are healthy, strong and vibrant. Keep supporting our small businesses. Make the decision to shop local, dine in downtown, come to events, get to know your merchants and be a part of this incredible community.
We will be excited to learn about Searcy and to get to know 6 of their small businesses through the show. It will be fun to see a series from the south! We will be watching and learning and following all that the Small Business Revolution continues to do. We feel so privileged to be a part of this.

Join us for The Small Business Revolution Winning Town Reveal at the Liberty Theatre of Camas-Washougal on Tuesday, February 26th! The doors open at 4:00pm and the announcement is at 4:30pm. Come early so you don’t miss the reveal! We will have fun Camas videos ahead of time and popcorn, too! Come show your spirit and love for our beautiful town. February 12th is the Big Day! We find out if we’ve made the Top 5 Towns in The Small Business Revolution Main Street competition! Announcement will be done by a FB LIVE video on the Small Business Revolution Facebook Page at 5:30am! (they start their media blitz early on the east coast so that’s why!)
With Top 5, we would have a chance to win a $500,000 revitalization for 6 of our small businesses & our downtown and the transformation showcased in Season 4’s 8-part TV series airing in the Fall of 2019 on Hulu. This is a really big deal!
